What they value most

Maximum credibility (5 out of 5): the app comes from a hospital and a research team.
Almost everyone who starts the anxiety and depression modules completes them.
13 of 15 apply what they learn in their daily lives, outside the app.

Preliminary, exploratory results. PHQ-9 and GAD-7: participants with at least two assessments on different days (n = 31), comparing the first and the latest. Rating: final survey (n = 15). Without a control group, the change cannot be attributed to the app alone.

Pilot study

This project would not be possible without the collaboration of the 13 participating primary care centres

The pilot study has begun in primary care centres across Catalonia. We sincerely thank all the professionals and teams taking part.

The project

What is PRESTO?

A digital product to promote mental health in primary care, made up of two components that work together.

For professionals

A web-based decision support platform for primary care physicians that recommends a therapeutic line of intervention based on the information reported by the patient, with the aim of optimising the care pathway.

For patients

PRESTO App: personalised psychological treatment, on your phone, from day one.

PRESTO web · for professionals

A clinical decision support assistant

The primary care professional administers a set of validated clinical questionnaires to the patient and, based on the results, PRESTO proposes the most appropriate line of intervention.

1Tests and clinical data. PHQ-9, GAD-7, functioning (PSP), medical history and sociodemographic data.
2Severity assessment. The platform combines all the information and classifies the case.
3Treatment recommendation. Monitoring, PRESTO App, community and psychoeducational resources, medication, urgent referral or referral to a community mental health centre (CSMA), depending on the case.

It also includes training resources for professionals, a directory of community resources and a link to PRESTO App to follow the patient's progress.
